The 10cm Thick Shock Absorbing Mat is made up of two main components, a top layer contructed from 5cm of Medium Density Polyurethane Foam and the bottom layer constructed from 5cm of Reconstituted foam.  These Gym Mats and Safety Mats meet the requirements of the EN 1177:2018 for critical fall height of 3 Metres which is the maximum free height of fall on playground equipment.  The bottom layer is designed to absorb the shock of falling and tumbline, whilist the top layer is designed to provide cushioning support when falling.

The Most critical and severe injuries usual occur to Limbs, Torso and Head and these Mats are designed to minimise the level of injury.  The mats are not a complete safeguard against falling injuries but are more designed to minimise critical and life threatening injuries.

The shock absorbing Mats with its two layered foam within the mat provides for an ultra soft surface ensuring any falls, jumps, landing are cushioned giving extra safety for safe landing, Tumbling and falling.
